- 1. I’m extremely passionate about creating the best life for myself. I’ve faced a few traumatic events over the years (as I’m sure almost all of us have) and several left me feeling like life really sucks. But I’ve come to learn that with small changes and a stubborn heart, you can create the best dang life for yourself. We only have one life, so why not enjoy it?!
- 2. I can’t stop, won’t stop, sharing my knowledge when it comes to scaling your business as a content creator. When I got started with my blog in 2016, I felt like I was thrown into the middle of the ocean and expected to find my own way to shore. I didn’t have the knowledge or the resources to learn what I needed to make my blog, YouTube channel, and brand successful. So now everything I learn, I share with you so you don’t have to do it alone! (Trust me, learning from someone else’s mistakes is the best)
- 3. Fancy is my best friend. Yes, I’m that super basic girl who is obsessed with her dog and I don’t see anything wrong with that! She’s my copilot on road trips, hiking partner, and #1 cuddle buddy. Honestly, just trust me, you’ll be obsessed with her too.
- 4. I love house projects and making my home my own. It all started in 2020 when my husband of 24 days told me he cheated on me and went to live at a hotel while I thought things over. There were 3 holes in my ceiling from lights he was in the middle of replacing and I couldn’t stand to look at the holes any longer. So I put up the new lights all by myself and haven’t stopped doing house projects ever since!

- Sold my home in New York and bought a new one in Alabama without even seeing it
- Had my wedding canceled due to covid but eloped anyway

- Found out my ex cheated on me and got divorced
2021
- Bought my ex out of my home to become a single homeowner
- Built a vegetable garden in my backyard

How old are Fancy and Poppy? And what are their breeds?
Fancy is a 7 years old Catahoula and Lab mix. Poppy is the baby at 11 months old and is a Husky and Lab mix!
How did you get started with social media?
I graduated college in 2016 with a degree in Marketing and Photography. From there, my first real adult job was working with a small Digital Marketing Start Up where I was a Digital Marketing Consultant. I learned so much from that job that I decided to share my knowledge with bloggers through this website which ended up leading to starting my YouTube channel, learning about YouTube’s algorithm, and sharing even more!
Why don’t you live closer to family?
My family is all over the United States so there really isn’t a “home” base for me! Plus I absolutely love Birmingham and can’t imagine living anywhere else right now.
Where should I even start if I want to become a content creator?!
The best (but also worst) tip I have for you is to just start. Don’t think about it, just do it! Creating a YouTube channel is easy and you probably already have one, you just aren’t uploading to it yet. Film your first video, watching YouTube videos on how to edit, attempt to edit yourself, upload it, and BOOM! You did it!! We all start from the bottom so your first video isn’t going to be great.
