“I have a feeling this is going to be my best year yet.” That’s how I ended my Instagram caption as I turned 28. And I was right. 28 was a pretty incredible year for me. But 29? I don’t know. I have a feeling this is going to be another amazing year! 🥰 I mean… I’ve got the two best girls by my side. What more could I ask for?!

Happy 1st Birthday to my goofy little Poppy girl 😩🎉 she’s my lover of belly rubs, laying on my chest, fetch, fetch, and more fetch, playing with her sister, jumping on new people (working on it 🤣), stealing whatever toy Fancy wants, and howling when she’s ready for food. She’ll throw a toy at you when she wants to play. Doesn’t kiss with just her tongue but instead her whole snout pressed against you. And 9 times out of 10, she has to have her body pressed up against me or Fancy to sleep 😩 I truly didn’t know what I was getting into adopting a second dog but Poppy was the perfect addition to our family 🥰

The .1% challenge has begun!! Every week I’m going to do something BIG or small to improve my life just a little. For episode 1, I decided to start strong with something that’s been bothering me ever since I bought this house almost a year ago… the tile in the bathroom!! There’s still more work to be done here so maybe this space will appear again in the upcoming weeks. In 2016, I got the crazy idea to buy a domain and set up a website all on my own. A pretty bold move! In my defense, I didn’t have any money to pay a professional to do it AND I had set up Wix websites before, even worked within some WordPress websites for clients. I figured: how hard could it be?! After lots of Googling, watching YouTube videos, trail and error…. I crashed my website a few times trying to customize code and do things I was NOT qualified to do 🤣 But I had a website up and running (most of the time) nonetheless!! Then in 2020, I left that website to root in its little corner of the internet as I poured all of my focus into YouTube.

Well it’s officially been 3 years and I’m sooooo dang happy to announce that thecontentbug.com is OFFICIALLY reborn into cathrinmanning.com 🎉😭👏

THE NEW WEBSITE IS LIVE!!

Major shout out to @studio9co and @madetothrive for helping my vision come to life! From every little doodle to the way the site flows together, it’s perfection and I’m beyond grateful for their expertise and patience as we’ve been working on this since April 2022 👀

Did someone say meet & greet?! 👀 AHHHHHH after years of just knowing you guys online, it’s about dang time we meet in person! So on March 18th @kameronmonet and I will be hosting a joint meet and greet in our city Birmingham, Alabama! Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 1pm Central. If you don’t know what time that is where you live, a countdown is added to my stories for you to set a reminder so you’re ready!! There are a limited number of spots available but hopefully there will be more events like this to come in other cities 😏 stay tuned!

Since I moved into this place when it was a disaster of a construction zone, I became a little too comfortable living with mess. I used to be someone who had a set cleaning schedule and it would be rare to see dog hair on my floor. Now… dog hair piles up in the nastiest way 🫣(thank you husky fur) SO this week I decided enough was enough. It was time for a biggggg spring cleaning!! There was so much I didn’t share like deep cleaning my carpets, washing sheets and towels, declutter my master bedroom, and even throwing away dog toys that have been chewed to bits. But I feel FRESHHHH! And I even did more cleaning today 😭 it feels so good to not live in chaos anymore 👏

Today’s the day… After MONTHS of getting asked to share my journey to clear skin, I finally sat down, organized my thoughts, gathered everything I’ve bought/used in the last 3 years, and recorded a video. For those who may not know, since 2019 I’ve struggled with perioral dermatitis. It hit a peak last year when it consumed my face from my eyes to my chin, making it extremely difficult to show up to work, to hit record, to post anything online. But now here I am, over 6 months have passed with completely clear skin!! 👏 I’m proud to say I healed my body from the inside out and I’m on the other side of this perioral dermatitis journey😭

An update on the master bathroom!!!!! The following day we actually did a ton more work and were cruising on the tile. But sadly, it’s still not done 🤣 a 6 foot wide shower with a two level bench situation PLUS tiling the whole way to 8 foot ceilings… yeah. That’s a lot of tile 🥴
